Working draft. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in force.

This policy explains what personal data TrueMe collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect what we need to build and deliver your plan — and nothing we don’t.

1. What we collect

  • Quiz answers — for example your age range, goals, activity level, body measurements and any areas of pain you tell us about. Some of this is health-related data.
  • Contact details — your email address and name.
  • Purchase details — what you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • App activity — sessions completed, ratings and weekly check-ins, used to adapt your next block.
  • Marketing attribution — the ad or link that brought you to us (for example UTM parameters and click IDs).
  • Device and usage data, and cookies — only where you have agreed, or where they are strictly necessary.

2. How we use it

  • To create, deliver and adapt your personalised plan.
  • To take payment, manage your subscription and send service emails, including a reminder before your trial ends.
  • To provide support and handle refunds.
  • To measure which marketing works and to improve the Service, where you have consented.

We rely on performance of a contract, your explicit consent (for health-related data), our legitimate interests, and legal obligations, as applicable. TODO(legal): confirm legal bases per market.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract — for example payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting and, with your consent, analytics and advertising partners. TODO(legal): list processors and international transfer safeguards.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to make the site work. Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterwards where needed for legal, tax or dispute purposes. TODO(legal): retention periods.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law requires.
